Visa on Arrival

Notifying that Tourist Visa on Arrival is granted on (11-3-2025) to Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) Nationals

Starting from the approval date for Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) citizens, a test period will be extended for 1 year and Visa on Arrival will be granted from 11 March 2025 to 10 March 2026.

When Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) citizens arrive at the International Airports, the Tourist Visa on Arrival shall be granted as per the following:

(A) Upon arrival at the International Airports, the tourist shall acquire the Visa on Arrival form free of charge and fill in the form with 2 colour photos (1.2 x 1.5) inches.
(B) The Visa on Arrival fees shall be collected 50 USD and the number of stay (30) days shall be granted.
(C) This is only for visiting purpose and hence, only Tourist Visa shall be granted.
(D) The Passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining and if it is less than 6 months, entry will not be permitted and the passenger will be deported via the airline he/she arrived in.
(E) Extension of the stay will not be permitted.
(F) Overstay person must pay overstay fine.

Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) citizens entering with Tourist Visa on Arrival must comply with the following rules during their stay in Myanmar:

(A) Must respect and comply with Myanmar’s existing Laws and Procedures.
(B) Apart from the areas that are restricted due to the security reasons, the tourists may freely travel to places which allow access to foreigners.
(C) If the passenger arriving with Tourist Visa on Arrival is not permitted entry by the relevant Security Forces/ Authorities, or is included in the Immigration Department’s Blacklist, entry will be denied and he/she will be deported via his/her arriving airline.
(D) Those entering with Tourist Visa on Arrival (VoA) from the international airports may exit at any international airports.

Passport holders from the following countries will be eligible to apply for Visa On Arrival for a Tourist Visa starting on 01 January 2020:

The Required Terms and Conditions for VISA ON ARRIVAL (Business Visa, Workshop/Seminar/Meeting/Research Visa, Transit Visa, Crew Visa)
The applicant shall –

• Have a valid passport not expiring for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Myanmar.
• Bring two recent (4cm x 6cm) color photos taken within the past six months.
• Have the letter of invitation from the sponsoring company in the event of first trip of business study. (Stay cannot be extended.)
• Be required to produce copies of company registration/business license/ evidence of permission to do business issued by the ministries concerned together with the application if the applicant is working in Myanmar.
• Fully mention the name of the factory, location, the sponsor and the position/rank if the applicant is doing business with business visa.
• Apply for extension of visa with the recommendation of the ministries concerned as well as in accordance with the existing procedures if the applicant is doing business with business visa.
• Produce letter of invitation by the ministries concerned if the applicant is going to attend meetings, workshops, events and ceremonies.
• Not be allowed to engage in any sort of work with or without charges apart from the professions mentioned in the visa application form.
• Produce air ticket to the destination if the applicant is applying for transit visa.
• Stay at the hotels, motels and guest houses holding legal licenses issued by Myanmar Government, and factories and workshops legally permitted as well as human dwellings; and exactly mention the address the applicant will stay at.
• Shall abide by the existing laws, rules, procedures, orders and directives issued by Myanmar Government.
• Have under-seven-year-old children accompanying parents in the passport granted visa free of charge; be able to produce the evidence of parent-children relationship if the children are holding separate passport.
• Not be allowed to travel to the restricted areas without seeking prior permission.
• Report to the office of the township National Registration & Citizenship Department concerned at which he stays within Myanmar mentioning the address of hotels, motels, guest houses, factories and workshops legally permitted as well as human dwellings.
• Depart to the country which he has traveled from by the arrangement of the airline he is using if he is denied entry.
• Abide by the decision of the On Arrival Visa Scrutiny and Issuing Team.

The Required Terms and Conditions for VISA ON ARRIVAL (Tourist Visa)

The applicant shall –

• Have a valid passport not expiring for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Myanmar.
• Bring two recent (4cm x 6cm) color photos taken within the past six months.
• Permitted for tourism purpose only.
• Duration of stay cannot be extended.
• Shall abide by the existing laws, rules, procedures, orders and directives issued by Myanmar Government.
• Allow to travel the places where foreigners are allowed to visit except from the restricted areas.
• Entry will be dined if the respective security agency and immigration department make the discoing not allow to entry.
• Travelers those who enter through International Airport by Visa On Arrival (Tourist Visa) are allowed to exit through any one of the International entry/exit points.
